Grand Ballroom

Located on the lobby level, the Grand Ballroom offers 6,600 square feet (613 square meters) of function space, and may be split into two private soundproof salons. Special features include built-in audiovisual screens and a private pre-function room with a built-in bar.

The Pre-function area of the Grand Ballroom has comfortable residential seating, cocktail tables and a built-in bar area. In addition, this room has connecting doors to our Portola Room and is adjacent to the Business Center.

Palm Garden

The Palm Garden Ballroom is the perfect setting for weddings, social gatherings and corporate events with its sophisticated elegance and distinctive pavilion-style roof that reflects the casual outdoor ambiance and unique elegant style of Newport Beach.
Featuring a 298 square foot stage, this room is an ideal large exhibit space and even has automobile access for new car launches.
Greeted by beautiful curved walls and lined with large, exotic potted palms is the foyer area of the Palm Garden. Separated from the main ballroom by large glass double-doors, the large foyer area of the Palm Garden is 660 square feet (61 square meters) and may be used for meeting registration, or to display literature or silent auction items. For weddings, this is the perfect space for a receiving line, gift table, and guestbook signing area, or to display place cards.
The Palm Garden is just steps away from the Hotel.

Portola Room

Located on the lobby level, this room conveniently connects with the Pre-function area. Two sets of double doors serve as an entrance to this large room. It has a built-in audiovisual screen and a concealed marker board, as well as a private service entrance.

Cabrillo Room

This room opens to a private terrace with lush foliage and may be used for business meetings, for a formal dinner, or even a hospitality room. The Cabrillo Room is located on the lobby level of the hotel.

Yorba Room

Located on the lobby level of the hotel, the Yorba room has floor to ceiling windows that cover one side of the room, an atrium pre-function area, natural lighting and an outdoor terrace.

Serra Room

Perfect for an intimate meeting or dinner, this room is an inviting space with natural lighting, plantation shutters and an outdoor terrace surrounded by lush foliage. The Serra room is located on the lobby level of the hotel.

Boardroom

Double doors open to reveal a permanent boardroom table and comfortable executive leather chairs. Floor to ceiling windows lead to a terrace. The Boardroom includes built-in audiovisual screens, as well as marker and corkboards, which are discreetly displayed inside a decorative credenza that can double for a coffee break station. Sunlight can easily be let in with the plantation shutters.

Cabana Room

The Cabana offers floor-to-ceiling windows that open to a large wrap-around terrace surrounded by tropical foliage. This room features a private kitchen entrance and adjustable plantation shutters. Located on the lobby level of the hotel, the Cabana room is adjacent to the pool and health club.

Private Dining Room

Located on the lobby level of the hotel, the Private Dining Room is attached to the Island Hotel’s signature restaurant, Palm Terrace. The Private Dining Room includes a large captain’s table, which seats up to 24, a private service entrance and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Suite 218

Suite 218 is an exceptionally versatile meeting room, which can accommodate a variety of different set-ups. This room features a private area just off the main room that can be used as an office and includes a desk, phone, an outdoor patio and guest bathroom. Suite 218 is located on the second floor of the hotel.

Pool Upper Terrace

Canopy-style cabanas, lush tropical foliage and twinkling lights in the evening create an intimate space that is perfect for buffet dinners, cocktail receptions, or wedding ceremonies. The Pool Upper Terrace is located on the lobby level of the hotel, adjacent to the pool and includes a fireplace with conversation area that can be used for cocktails and appetizers before or after a reception.
